Dr Geoff Wan

Principal Dentist | BSc Chem, B.Dent, FAGD

Hello! I’m Dr Geoffrey Wan. I am the principal dentist at Bella Dental Penrith. My passion for dentistry developed early on when I was 14 years old when I went to work as a dental assistant for our family dentist in Vancouver, Canada.

I graduated from The University of Sydney in 2006. I have worked in Sydney, Alice Springs, Dubbo and I also trained and worked in the United States. My biggest interest within dentistry includes complex rehabilitative and restorative dentistry. I also have extensive experience in orthodontics using traditional braces along with modern clear aligner technology, like Invisalign.

I am registered with the AHPRA Dental Board, the Australian Dental Association, a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, a Mentor with the General Dental Residency, a certified BIOCLEAR provider, and have completed the EODO Mini Orthodontic Residency.

My goal at Bella Dental is to ensure that dentistry is pain-free, without anxiety, where you are in control of your dental health and are fully informed every step of the way. My favourite is actually being able to communicate and listen well to anxious patients who can then overcome their fears and be relaxed enough to get the treatment that they need.

I have always had a passion for helping others. In addition to helping patients, I actively coach and mentor younger dentists in an organization called the General Dental Residency or GDR. This is a unique program designed to develop new and recent graduate dentists with the skills and confidence to serve their patients better. This is an indirect way for me to help more patients beyond the community of Penrith.

Dr Alfred Tao

Dentist | B.Dent (Hons), B.Pharm

Hi! I’m Dr Alfred Tao, I was born and grew up in the western suburbs of Sydney where I still live to this day. I attended Fort Street High School before embarking on my tertiary studies at the University of Sydney. I have always had a passion for healthcare whereby I completed my Bachelor of Pharmacy prior to complete my Bachelor of Dentistry with honours. From very early on in my career, I recognised that there is a significant link between the health of the mouth and the rest of the body. I see the importance of treating my patients as a whole and not just the teeth alone.

I am passionate about continuing education and I regularly attend conferences and training throughout Australia and overseas in order to best serve my patients with the most current and advanced techniques. I have interests in cosmetic dentistry, implants, orthodontics and minor oral surgery. I enjoy taking my time to getting to know my patients and explaining treatment options and solutions that are tailored to each individual patient based on their needs and wants.

Outside of dentistry, I enjoy photography, dancing and being active at the gym or exploring the great outdoors. I also enjoy travelling and hanging out with friends over a good old boardgame.

Dr. Leon Low

Dentist | B.Dent

“Hello! I’m Dr. Leon Low, originally from Malaysia. I moved to New Zealand to complete my Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Otago and have since relocated to Sydney, where I am eager to advance my dental career. My passion for dentistry encompasses all aspects of the field, with a particular interest in oral surgery and restorative dentistry.

My clinical experience spans diverse settings, including private practices and correctional facilities. This variety has equipped me to adapt to a wide range of patient needs and provide care in challenging environments. As a clinician, I’m always looking to grow through continuing education and staying up-to-date with the latest developments in dentistry.

I firmly believe in a patient-centered approach, treating every individual with care, understanding, and respect. My focus is on developing personalized treatment plans that address each patient’s needs, ensuring they receive high-quality care in a comfortable and relaxed environment.

Outside of dentistry, I enjoy an active lifestyle through outdoor activities like badminton and going to the gym. I also cherish quality time with family and friends, as these relationships are vital for maintaining a fulfilling and balanced life. ”

Evie Okan

Oral Health Therapist | B.Oral Health

Hi! I’m Evie and was born and raised in Western Sydney. I have always had a strong interest in helping people maintain and improve their health. Our mouths play such a big part in our bodies health! This passion along with my interest in keeping teeth healthy led me to volunteer at the USYD on campus dentist, which encouraged me to complete my Bachelors degree in Oral Health at the University of Sydney.

My work in preventative dental care has given me the opportunity to help patients reach their oral health goals, and get them to a stage of oral health that helps them lead and live healthy lives. Reaching this goal is the biggest motivator for my work! We are incomplete without our smiles and our smiles are our most important asset!

When I’m not doing what I love, I enjoy walking my very active Kelpies. I enjoy cooking and sharing a meal with my family and friends. I also like to enjoy a cup of coffee with a good book, both in Australia and when I am travelling.
